Our Team

Who Works at Levy Central?

A group of dedicated and professional individuals make up the Levy Central team. Together this team boasts 34 years of combined check-off levy collection experience. Each team member is under a strict confidentiality agreement so you can rest assured that your commodity data is treated with the utmost concern for privacy.

Our team is currently comprised of:


Ann M. Smith
Levy Central Manager (SWCDC, WCMI)
Ann, the oldest of 7 children, was raised on a small, mixed farm near Arborfield, SK. After graduating from Arborfield High School she enrolled in the Saskatoon Business College and received an Honours Secretarial Diploma. Over the years, Ann has worked at the Universities of Saskatchewan and Alberta, the Canadian Dehydrators Association, Parkland Alfalfa, Thibodeau Heinke Johns Accounting and Taylor & Co. Law Firm. Ann joined the Saskatchewan Council for Community Development (SCCD) in the fall of 1999 as the federal funding program CARDS Administrative Assistant, working her way up to Senior Project Officer for the CAAP program. When Levy Central came under the umbrella of the Agriculture Council of Saskatchewan, Inc. (formerly SCCD) in 2010, Ann was promoted to Program Manager. In addition to her management role, Ann also administers the levy collection activities for Saskatchewan Winter Cereals Development Commission and the Winter Cereals Development Commission, Inc.

Ann enjoys gardening and working in her yard, beekeeping, home improvements, cooking (and eating), reading, travel, spending time with her family and classic rock and roll. She has two adult children, a son Jesse, and a daughter Colleen, and says that they keep her young.

Nicole Yip
Senior Levy Central Client Services Representative (SWDC, SBDC, SMDC, CDCS, SFDC)
Born and raised in Medicine Hat, AB, Nicole attended Medicine Hat College and completed a Hospitality & Tourism Marketing Diploma. She moved to Saskatoon in 2002. In 2003, Nicole joined Levy Central while it was still under the umbrella of the Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission. When Levy Central moved to the Agriculture Council of Saskatchewan in 2010, she followed.

Nicole has a wonderful husband, and together they have a beautiful daughter who amazes them daily with her energy and eagerness to explore. When not working, Nicole's interests include travel, movies, reading, and getting together with family and friends.

Nicole is a Senior Levy Central Client Representative. In addition to administering the levy collection activities for Saskatchewan Wheat, Saskatchewan Barley, Saskatchewan Mustard, and Saskatchewan Canaryseed she also assists with election activities and provides administrative support to Levy Central management.

Colleen Lozinsky
Senior Levy Central Client Services Representative (MWBGA, SODC, AOGC, MOGA) and Database Manager
Colleen began working at Levy Central in 2012 and is a Senior Levy Central Client Service Representative and Database Manager. She administers the levy collection activities for Manitoba Wheat and Barley Growers Association, the Saskatchewan Oat Development Commission, the Alberta Oat Growers Commission and the Manitoba Oat Growers Association. She also manages the day to day operations of the levy tracking system databases, and is the contact person for the remote websites for all Levy Central Clients.

Colleen attended Kelsey Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences and received an Office Education certificate. She grew up in Saskatoon, but currently resides on a farm northeast of the city. She loves the country life and when not at work, she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Koren Hebig
Levy Central Client Services Representative (SCDC)
Koren was born and raised in Saskatoon and received her secondary education from the Saskatoon Business College. She is also a certified licensed optical technician and worked for several years for Atrium Optometric. Koren enjoys time with her husband, her wonderful son and daughter, and her friends. She also keeps busy by volunteering her time with the different organizations that involve her kids. Koren enjoys athletic activities and Ukrainian Dancing.

Koren has worked for Levy Central since 2008 while it was still under the umbrella of the Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission. She is currently the Client Service Representative for Sask Canola and works closely with the canola staff. Koren's philosophy is to always be yourself, follow your dreams and strive to make a difference in lives of others.
